Green Challenge

It is day four of our Green Smoothie / Green Juice challenge (INSERT Roaring Crowd Effectand trust me it hasn't been easy! Thankfully I have an amazing support team that’s helping me stick to it. 

When we first started the challenge the idea was to replace at least one meal with a green smoothie and another meal with a green juice. (Note that by smoothie I mean a drink made using a blender, and by juice I mean a drink made using  a juicer. ) However, after day one, some of the girls approached me and asked if they could replace only one meal with a green smoothie. And of course I said YES!

What matters is that you try your best to incorporate one nutrient-dense meal into your diet. Not only will you give your digestive system a rest, but you'll also detoxify your body and (most probably) lose weight. 

So what can you drink during the challenge?
Simply replace a meal with any of the following: 

THE BROOM Green Smoothie
1 frozen banana
2 handfuls fresh spinach
1 cup water
Handful of ice cubes (3-4)
1 apple or 1 cup pineapple
For this recipe you'll need a blender

THE B1RD Green Juice
4 celery stalks
4 kale leaves
1 cucumber
1 lemon, peeled

1 green apple
1 1-inch piece of ginger
For this recipe you'll need a juicer.
